Ragtime wasn't supposed to be nothin' from Bradly Dever Treadaway on Vimeo.

Ragtime Wasn't Supposed to be Nothin' is an experimental documentary work examining the legacy of Eubie Blake and the social liberation of age. Based on a text by Matthew D. Morrison the piece employs footage of Floyd Patterson's last fight as a symbol of the changing of the guards. Referencing the Brooklyn residence of Patterson and Blake, jazz and innovation are placed in conflict with the socio-cultural expectations of performance.
